LA/ SS 8th Grade Reflection
We have a very great year this year. All of us have learn a lot during the years, both in social studies and language arts. For me, I learnt how to analyze readings and also putting evidences into my writing properly. I also get better in speeches by going into the speak out. But there are still many things I have to work on, though. Such as reading at a good pace and speak clearly. So I felt that I learn a lot over the years, but that doesn't mean that I don't have anything to work on after this! I'll keep practicing!

Is courage something you're born with, or can you develop it?
I think that people are all born with courage, but it just depends if we're using it or not. For example, explorers are brave since they dare to search into places that are dangerous such as "The New World", underwater, depths of caves and even the outer space. Another good examples are philosophers and scientist because they dare to go against the old thinking with their discovery. But for some people, they never show their courage since they're afraid of the problem they're facing.

Patriots or Terrorists?
I think the colonists are patriots since they're doing this because England had treated them harshly. For example, during the Stamp Act, the British only tax the colonists, not their own country. Which that made the colonists really mad that the king is trying to make money out of them in an unfair. So it's fair enough for the colonists to rebel against England

Soc Seminar
Well, this seminar was shorter than I thought...but the exact same people still say lots of things!!! For this one, I find it a bit boring since I don't really get the tea party part. But I do know about what's going on though.

A Bone from a Dry Sea
by Peter Dickinson
In the first chapter, it's about the past. The main character of the past is doing a shark watch, which she use a hood to indicate that the shark came. I actually do a shark watch once in Australia and what I found was actually a whale shark which is pretty impressive. Anyway, back to story, so there was a very strong waves that push the shark until it got trapped inside the waterhole on the shore. And people started to kill it, which they did it in the end.

Personal Flood stuff :P
Well, I the flood didn't reach me during this "break" it's mostly because I live in the highest part of Bangkok, the Praditmanutum road. But the soccer field and the road in from of my village does flood, however... And even worse, there are 3 crocodiles swimming in front of the road in front of my village, but good thing that the soldiers already got them all back to they came from. I shield my house with some modeling clay, sand bags, thick plastic and some rag tape.
I actually first moved to Pattaya since we thought it was going to flood, but that never happen. After about 2 weeks or so, we found out that loads of people from Bangkok are moving to Pattaya since most of them have condo there, but that meant that it'll be overcrowded soon (also meant that we'll run out of supplies there), so we move back to Bangkok for 2 or 3 days. Then exactly after that, we moved to Nakorn Najok, which is a pretty nice place since it's rather more quiet and also not overcrowded nor shortage of supplies. I also learn many things there, which are shooting guns, canoeing, driving a car, playing guitar and using chopsticks (pretty funny that I don't know how to use them until now, right?).
